Friday was a beautiful and cold day here in Seattle. I mailed a late Christmas present (two more to go) which I finally finished knitting. Then I went to the Seattle Sculpture Garden to enjoy sunshine. It was my last weekday off and it was nice to get out of the house and into the fresh, be it cold, air. We went to Tacoma for a late Christmas celebration and had some wonderful cake from Corina, in Tacoma. It was sugary, vegan and wheat free...thanks to Becky and Gary for that. We have been eating it for breakfast, it is very good with coffee.
Here is Topher in his new shirt (a fancy version of the classic navy button down) and the new ribbed scarf I knit for him with Cascade 220. I have been thinking a lot about my Stash; I did a lot of cleaning out, ball winding and knitting over break and the stash seems to be multiplying still, here are a few ideas to keep the stash down. Someone in my knitting group coined "yarn barf" about the magic that happens when a skein turns into a giant mess of yarn...seemingly by itself. Topher has become involved with these piles of barf, it takes so long to sort through. The yarn winder I got for Chirstmas is helping a lot.
